Tours of Amboise with a costumed guide 

Find out about the history of Amboise, by taking a guided tour of the town with a world-famous mystery person whose identity will gradually be revealed through clues here and there. Travel from the Stone Age to the Middle Ages, and on the most influential period of all - the  Renaissance. You will be captivated by the history of the town and its famous people, among them  Clovis, François I, Leonardo da Vinci, Abd el Kader and Calder. All of them shaped the town in their own image.

2 - Costumed tour of the royal castle and Les Greniers de César
     > Adult groups: 10.50 €
     > Children up to 15 years, in groups : 8.50 €

3 - Costumed tour of Le Clos Lucé and the Parc Leonardo da Vinci

A theme day on the Renaissance, its inventions and its famous people e.g. kings and queens of France, Leonardo da Vinci and King François I. An unforgettable day of fun with a costumed guide.

> MORNING
10.30 a.m. Tour of the royal castle in Amboise: tales of the Renaissance for children
The tour, with stories from history and tales of derring-do, takes the group to a place of historic interest (the royal castle in Amboise) and a more unusual place (Les Greniers de César, "Caesar's Hayloft"), providing a dynamic way of learning about their history. Interactive sightseeing round the outside of the castle, information on the artistic and technical innovations that formed the basis of the Renaissance, meetings with the kings and queens who left their mark on the history of France. Accompanied by a guide in costume, this unusual tour takes groups on a unique trip through time itself.
An entertaining but educational questionnaire about the  Renaissance is given to the pupils (1 questionnaire for 2 pupils)

Picnic on the banks of the Loire
or under cover in a community hall if the weather is inclement (lunch and transport are not included in the cost of the one-day package).

> AFTERNOON
2 p.m. Tour of Le Clos Lucé with stories from history and more tales of derring-do - Leonardo da Vinci park - The genius inventor
It was at Le Clos Lucé that Leonardo da Vinci spent the last three years of his life, painting and working on his thousand and one interests until he died, in the house, on 2nd May 1519. See the fabulous machines that he designed (parachute, tank, helicopter etc.) in the form of models built by IBM. Led by your costumed guide, your group will be fascinated by the entertaining, dynamic ambiance of this tour.
